THINGS OF NOTE
this will probably be the longest page on the site. sorry. we just have a lot to say about this.....
we do not engage with syscourse, at all, point blank. we engage with system related spaces for recovery + community above anything else. we feel it really isnt our business how one describes their own deal, and do not care so as long as you arent being a raging asshole or something. the ONLY exception to this is not supporting the use of 'tulpa' terminology, due to it being culturally appropriative.
we personally use parts language to describe ourselves; it feels unifying in a good way, ie Being Part Of A Team. we will not use it on anyone who does not like it ! however, this Does Not mean you get to complain at me for using it just because you do not like it personally.
we alternate freely between using "we" and "i" very, very often. saying "i" does not always mean i am solo fronting ! we just use whatever feels best at a given moment, as its what works best for us.
we HEAVILY prefer to not be asked who is fronting 99% of the time, as being asked tends to disorient us. we struggle to know when switches happen a lot of the time ! if a part is out and wants that fact to be known, theyll say as much, either by using pluralkit (when available) or by a name / emoji signoff. otherwise, parts might just "cloak" / act as the host. other parts have zero interest in either fronting or being online at all.
- similar to the above, we will not switch on command for you, unless it is URGENT AND ABSOLUTELY VITAL that it happens immediately, which is immensely unlikely. switches are not a fun little party trick we can just do at the drop of a hat. we are fine with passing messages on to parts who arent actively fronting at a given moment, though !
there will never be an exhaustive list of every single member of the system made public, as its not information anyone but us + our support network needs.
due to Brain Issues + dyslexia we legitimately cannot comprehend heavy typing quirks and require either a translation be used or, if possible, to not have them used when speaking to us in general.
we, as a system, consider ourselves alterhuman across the board. on top of this, most of us are some flavor of furry. if thats an issue for you, we do not really care to be honest. ...you had more than enough warning this is not really a secret. LOL.
we make typos a lot, due to a number of factors (shaky hands that are just natural and worsened by medication, on top of double vision that is also a medication side effect we experience commonly). we are totally fine with slowing down / retyping if somethings too hard to read. we also sometimes word things strangely due to neurological / comprehension issues. again, we are fine to reword if its needed.
